Swarovski Crystal Dragon 1997 Fabulous Creatures SCS Released in 1997 this crystal dragon was the second piece in the "Fabulous Creatures" trilogy. Gabriele Stamey modeled her creation on the five clawed lung dragon from eastern mythology. Nobility within the Chinese imperial class would often exhibit such fabulous creatures on their family crests and insignia. Such dragons are believed to bestow the owner with luck and happiness in the eastern tradition.
Although this dragon was only available to Swarovski Crystal Society members it can be purchased for less than it's 1997 retail price of $325. They are now only available from dealers and private sales. Depending on the amount of interest on a given auction you can expect to pay between $200 and $300 for one of these 1997 crystal dragons on today's open market.
