Swarovski Crystal Peacock
1998 Limited Edition
This is one of the most desirable crystal figurines available. The 1998 Swarovski peacock was limited to an edition of 10,000 making it a much sort after piece for any collector. All were sold through the SCS making them mainly available from private sellers in today's market.
Designer Adi Stocker uses 19 feathers in the tail and an inverted pyramid base to give the piece pleasing proportions. The peacock is mainly crafted from clear crystal with some turquoise blue oval shaped inclusions. The head and comb are made using sterling silver with three turquoise crystals mounted at the apex.
The color is reflected in the feather facets to create pleasing highlights. This accent reminds us of the majestic coloration of a real peacock.
Like many other Swarovski limited editions this peacock has a significant price tag. Expect to pay upwards from $5000 for a 1998 peacock in mint condition.
Each peacock is signed and numbered on the base using Swarovski's laser etching method. In original condition the peacick includes a framed Certificate of Authenticity signed by Helmut Swarovski and Adi Stocker along with a pair of gloves and further documents.
